WEEKKEEP / PRIVACY
Privacy
Your journal and your choices.
Last updated: September 8, 2026. This page describes the current Weekkeep web app and its agent connection.
Data used to provide the journal
Weekkeep stores the profile information you supply, memories, optional places, Compass, reflections and sync preferences. Local copies remain in your browser. Cloud data and account records are processed on Cloudflare infrastructure. Passkey public keys, credential identifiers, recovery verification data and sessions support account access; Weekkeep does not receive your biometric fingerprint.
Connected assistants
You choose read and write permissions in the authorization screen. MCP tools return matching memory excerpts, selected full memories, saved place labels, Compass and weekly reflections, plus revision numbers needed to avoid conflicting edits. They do not return passkeys, recovery secrets, your profile or precise coordinates. REST access can read the full cloud journal, including its profile and places. A private RSS token can read the latest 50 memories. The assistant provider receives the content it reads and handles it under its own policies.
OAuth access tokens expire after 15 minutes. Connections can renew them for up to 90 days unless revoked. Account deletion or recovery changes invalidate access. Revocation blocks future access but does not delete copies already received by an assistant. OAuth client and grant metadata may remain in authorization storage until its retention expires; this metadata does not contain journal entries. Browser sign-out does not revoke assistant connections.
Optional services
When you permit analytics, Microsoft Clarity and configured Google Analytics process usage and device information. Journal content is masked for Clarity; advertising consent remains off. Change your choice at any time through Privacy choices. Optional AI suggestions send the relevant journal context to Cloudflare Workers AI; results are cached until that context changes. Place search and enabled map previews send requests to map providers; your browser may share network information with those providers. Loading maps is a preference you control.
Storage and deletion
Cloud journals remain until you delete your account. The app keeps a limited number of snapshots to recover from sync and migration problems. Account deletion removes the account’s active journal and snapshots; local browser copies and copies held by external tools are separate. Operational infrastructure logs support reliability and abuse prevention. Application error logs omit journal bodies, access tokens and account identifiers.
Your controls
Export your journal, edit entries, revoke connections and delete the account in Settings. Pausing sync keeps new writing local; it does not erase previously synced information. For questions about access, correction or deletion, see Support.
